‘the blue book’ is a user friendly guide to employment benefits and salary trends nationally. Angela Mortimer Plc is conducting the research phase for the 2009 edition of this industry leading salary survey.

We welcome participation from organisations of any size across all market sectors. Organisations who participate in the research can reserve a complimentary copy (RRP £195) of the edition, available from February 2009.

‘the blue book’
contains salary data tables displaying high, low and market rates for salaries in numerous job categories. Subdivided into vertical and geographic markets, each section contains a commentary by experts in each of the Angela Mortimer group’s specialist recruitment companies.

The survey provides salary details for the majority of the group’s recruitment divisions and geographical locations, divided into regional sections:

  • Paris
  • Brussels
  • London & the South
  • Bristol & the South West
  • The Midlands
  • Manchester & the North


‘the blue book’ also includes the results of surveys conducted with 800+ candidates and 700+ organisations - highlighting the prime drivers for candidates moving jobs and the key employment benefits offered by organisations.



Findings from 'the blue book' 2008 included:


  • 86% of organisations say attracting the right staff is tough

  • The cost of recruitment and salaries increased on the previous year

  • Just 7% anticipate that the market will get easier this year

  • 70% increase salaries with inflation

  • 57% benchmark employment benefits

  • Just 29% initiate and complete a recruitment project within 4 weeks
